As part of producing professional wrestling for TV, the hard cam has traditionally been set up to face one side of the crowd, allowing viewers at home to see how those in attendance interact with the in-ring action.

The coronavirus pandemic has prevented fans from attending wrestling shows, as episodes of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown are airing from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and All Elite Wrestling is taping Dynamite at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

This posed a problem for both companies as they had to decide where to place the hard cam. AEW ultimately chose to move the camera to face the stage, so empty seats weren't broadcast across the world. WWE were stubborn, however, and refused to reposition their camera.

Now, WWE has changed their mind as the hard cam on last night's episode of Raw faced the stage and all the seats from the Performance Center were removed from ringside.

AEW President Tony Khan quickly noticed the change, and tweeted a GIF of Norman Osborn from Spiderman saying "You know, I'm something of a scientist myself," in response.
