WWE wants to tie down another big name to a new deal

WWE have been tying down a lot of big names to new deals over the last week or so, with top talents like Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Rey Mysterio, and Dominik Mysterio being amongst those to have put pen to paper for new extensions and deals.
The company is hoping to add another name to that list, as Cody Rhodes is being eyed up for an extension. Fightful Select are reporting that Rhodes and WWE are currently engaged in talks for a multi-year extension, with many expecting him to receive a big raise. The report also goes on to say that re-signing Rhodes is a priority for TKO, which goes to show how much value there is in him.
Rhodes returned to WWE back in 2022 after leaving AEW, and since then he has emerged as one of the biggest babyface draws in the company. In 2023 alone he won the Men’s Royal Rumble match, main evented WrestleMania, defeated Brock Lesnar in a feud, and also became Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion. It has been a big year for Rhodes, and if he re-signs, 2024 could be even bigger.
