Johnny Gargano is set to take on Tommaso Ciampa in a Street Fight at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on June 16. However, it's being reported that the stipulation we're going to see inside, and perhaps outside the Allstate Aena wasn't the one initially booked for the match.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the second meeting between the pair was going to be a Last Man Standing contest before plans were changed, with AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura's latest WWE Championship match getting the stipulation instead. The general feeling among fans on social media and the like was that a Street Fight was a bit too similar to the former DIY partner's first meeting in an unsanctioned match at TakeOver: New Orleans. I'm of the opinion that the first match was so damn good that I'm not really bothered that the second one is going to look and feel in a similar vein. I trust both men to be able to put on a show different to what we saw in New Orleans, while keeping it just as, if not more awesome in the process.

Nakamura revealed on this week's SmackDown Live what his next match against The Phenomenal One was going to be. After initially joking that it would be a pillow fight, The King Of Strong Style proceeded to knock the champion down before counting to 10 and announcing the stipulation for MITB - taking place the night after TakeOver, of course.

Ciampa will be looking to get some modicum of revenge on Gargano for what happened during WrestleMania weekend. In what is some people's match of the year so far, Johnny Wrestling came out on top in what was a wonderfully told story, with all the aggression and savagery you'd come to expect from two such bitter rivals.
