Barlow told the news outlet, "Doctors say the procedure was a success," and thanked everyone for their prayers and well-wishes during these past few days.

The 16-time World champion entered to an Atlanta-area hospital on Thursday in order to have the procedure the following day, but complications arose that needed to be addressed. As a result of those complications, surgery was delayed until Monday.

Flair had previously dealt with heart-related issues, resulting in him being hospitalized for over a month, beginning in August 2017. Despite reportedly being given merely a 20 percent chance of surviving that ordeal (which included the onset of heart and kidney failure, as well as pneumonia), Flair recovered, returning home in September 2017.
