New WWE Championship Officially Introduced (RAW SPOILERS)
What's the belt?
May 21, 2019
As promised during WWE Money in the Bank on Sunday night, Mick Foley was on hand at Monday's Raw from Albany, NY, there to introduce a brand new belt into the crowded main roster collection. Over the past day, many fans clamored for the return of the classic Hardcore title, and what they got was pretty close to the spirit of that belt.
Foley introduced the 24/7 Title
, following in the footsteps of the Hardcore championship upon Crash Holly's title win back in 2000, when he declared he would defend the belt any time, any place.
With a dark green strap and a yellow/bronze plate, the belt will be defended at all times, and can change hands as long as a referee is present.
The title is open to anyone on any brand, and Foley even hinted that legends could even compete for the belt.
So far, as of this writing, the belt has already changed hands twice. Titus O'Neil was the first claimant to the belt, but mere moments later, he lost it to Robert Roode.
