Report: WWE Star Set To Miss WrestleMania 36
They are required in court instead...
Jan 21, 2020
WrestleMania 36 is under three months away as the road to The Showcase Of The Immortals begins this Sunday at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. While many Superstars are currently preparing for the biggest WWE event of the year, one wrestler who looks set to miss the show is Jeff Hardy.
The Charismatic Enigma has been out of action since having knee surgery in April 2019, but his ongoing personal health problems have delayed his return. Jeff was arrested for the second time in four months in October for Driving While Impaired.
Now, according to a report from
Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Hardy's next court appearance in Moore County Court in North Carolina has been set for April 6, the day after WrestleMania 36. This would seemingly stop Brother Nero from wrestling in Tampa, Florida if he was medically fit enough to do so.
Details of the police report from Hardy's DWI have also been released. Jeff was arrested on October 3, 2019, in Moore County, North Carolina after the police received a call about a careless driver. Authorities located Jeff's car in front of a liquor store and he came out with a pack of beers. They let Hardy go on his way but pulled him over after he was "weaving badly in his lane." According to the police report, Hardy also had dried blood on his nose because he and his wife "got into a fight."
Since his arrest, reports have indicated that WWE is working with Jeff to address his health, and both parties have been doing their utmost to help the former WWE Champion.
