Since returning to WWE TV on the November 25 episode of Monday Night Raw, Matt Hardy has been used as enhancement talent for other Superstars. In his first match back, he lost to Buddy Murphy in 175 seconds. Two weeks later he was vanquished by Drew McIntyre in 135 seconds. While he wrestled in a gauntlet match on December 16, he only lasted a couple of minutes again.

Then, after not appearing on Raw in almost a month, Hardy was defeated by Erick Rowan last night in 130 seconds. The Woken One's demise would have been even shorter had Rowan not put his hand in the cage he carries to the ring.

After Hardy's loss, he was elevated to #17 on Twitter's top trends as fans voiced their displeasure at the former IMPACT World champion's mistreatment. Matt responded soon after, teasing that he could be done with WWE soon.

He tweeted:

"WOW! Thanks for all the love & support from around the world. I’m trending #17 worldwide because of my @WWE slump & string of #RAW TV losses. Hope you’re enjoying my #WWE TV appearances.. At this rate there won’t be many more."

Hardy's contract with the company expires on March 1st

and negotiations over a new deal have reached an impasse. The former SmackDown Tag Team champion is happy with the salary in the new contract, but the main sticking point in negotiations has been how the Superstar will be used in the future.

While the company may not plan to push Hardy as a top star, using him as a jobber on Raw has seemingly done little to convince him to stick around.
