Report: WWE Already Making Plans For Next Pay-Per-View In Saudi Arabia

On February 27, WWE hosted their latest Saudi Arabian extravaganza as Super ShowDown was broadcast live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show has been touted as one of the worst pay-per-views in WWE history, as WWE tried to build to The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 by having The Phenom pin Styles with one poorly executed Chokeslam, Brock Lesnar annihilated Ricochet in 90 seconds, and 53-year-old Goldberg defeated "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship after four Spears and a Jackhammer.

WWE is seemingly eager to head back to the Middle East, however, as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported the company has already started making plans for their next Saudi pay-per-view.

The company has even discussed dates, and Thursday, August 20 seemed to be on the cards, but WWE changed their minds as SummerSlam is already scheduled for August 23 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Instead, the wrestling behemoth is looking to return to Saudi Arabia in late October or early November.

For the avoidance of doubt, Johnson wrote: "WWE is already working on their return to Saudi Arabia, PWInsider.com has confirmed.  At one point, a date of Thursday 8/20 was pitched (believed to be for an event in Jeddah) but with the close proximity to Summerslam weekend and the likelyhood that temperatures would soar into the 100-120 degree range, that idea was shot down.

"Currently, they are looking at a return in late October or early November."
