Jinder Mahal returned to WWE television two weeks ago, first on Main Event, and then on Monday Night Raw, and he didn't do so alone.

The Modern Day Maharaja was flanked by Rinku Singh, now known as Veer, who had been a part of the Indus Sher tag team. He was also joined by Dilser Shanky.

Veer had originally been teaming with Saurav but, according to a report from Fightful, Saurav had been deemed not ready for television by WWE officials and the decision was made to separate them.

The report also indicates that Mahal has been ready for a return to WWE television for a number of months. The former WWE Champion was last seen on Raw in April 2020 in a win over Akira Tozawa, but then underwent further surgery on his knee.

Mahal was involved in the WWE Network special, Superstar Spectacle, in January, but it appears that the 34-year-old had to wait until the creative team had an idea for his return. Mahal has been reportedly slated for a bit summer programme with former stablemate Drew McIntyre.
