Report: Major Heat On Production Company Responsible for Botched AEW Revolution Explosion

The third-party production company that was responsible for the botched final explosion at AEW: Revolution have reportedly received significant heat for their attitude towards the embarrassing situation.

A fantastic AEW pay-per-view ended with a whimper on Sunday as Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega fought in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match for the AEW World Championship. Having retained his title against Moxley, Omega and The Good Brothers attempted to leave Moxley in the final explosion, only for Eddie Kingston to try to save his former rival.

Instead of the promised, ring-encompassing blast, however, an underwhelming and lacklustre burst of smoke was accompanied by sparkler effects on the ring corners.

AEW have tried to incorporate the failure into storyline, claiming that Omega failed to construct a worthy explosive, but Fightful Select is reporting that the company actually responsible for the embarrassment are facing serious frustration from the promotion.

The report claims that the company who provided the explosive were unapologetic in regard to its failure and repeatedly attempted to brush the situation off, leading to significant heat on them by AEW officials and talent.

AEW have come in for fairly heavy ridicule on social media for the botch and there is understandable frustration within the company towards the rigging team responsible.
