He's a big fan of the four Superstars...

Over the past month, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Drew Gulak and Shorty G have featured prominently on Friday Night SmackDown. Both Gulak and Metalik have faced AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship in recent weeks, and all four Superstars competed in a Fatal 4-Way to crown the number one contender for The Phenomenal One's title on July 24. Shorty G even turned heel on last week's edition of the blue brand as he attacked Matt Riddle and aligned himself with King Corbin.
Dave Meltzer recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Daniel Bryan has "significant creative influence" on SmackDown as part of the brand's writing team.
The former WWE Champion is seemingly the man behind the four Superstars pushes as Paul Davis at WrestlingNews.co noted the former WWE Champion is a "big fan" of all four men and has been lobbying for them to receive more TV time. Bryan also pushed for the Fatal 4-Way number one contender's match on SmackDown and Vince McMahon is reportedly receptive to the Leader of The Yes! Movement's ideas as the boss looks to bolster ratings.
