Despite recent posts on Twitter detailing the extent of his current injuries, it seems Matt Hardy will not be retiring. Instead, according to Dave Meltzer, he will be going into rehab to help ease the pain he's going through at the moment.

Earlier this week, Hardy noted that his lower back and pelvis have started to fuse together due to years of wear and tear from performing high-risk manoeuvres. Many fans believed that he could have been hinting at retirement, however, it appears any injury isn't as serious as many first feared.

Matt had been tweeting cryptic messages implying that he could be headed for retirement soon. The internet has been rife with speculation as to what is next for the Woken one, but Meltzer appears to have silenced any speculation surrounding his future. Hardy is expected to undergo rehab to help with the injury, but there has been no word on if this means he will miss any time on the road.

Matt is reportedly playing the whole situation by ear and doesn't know how long he has left in the ring. His most recent tweets were designed to send the message that he won't be around forever and his time in the ring is dwindling down.

The former Raw Tag Team Champion has had a history of hip and leg problems, with them all mounting up over the years and contributing to this recent development.

Hardy has not been pulled from live events and is still currently on the road with WWE.
