Main Event For NWA: Into The Fire Announced
The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship will be on the line.
Nov 27, 2019
Since the fourth episode of NWA Powerrr on 29th October, James Storm and Nick Aldis have been embroiled in a rivalry with one another.
During the episode, Storm accused Aldis of avoiding him, as he was scared to put his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship on the line against The Cowboy. Aldis then confronted Storm, and once things got heated, they reached a compromise. Aldis challenged Storm to a six-man tag team match later in the episode. If Aldis' team won, Colt Cabana would receive a shot at Storm's NWA National Heavyweight Championship. But if Storm's team won, he would receive a title opportunity against the Brit.
Ultimately, Aldis' team (consisting of himself, Colt Cabana, and Ken Anderson) emerged victorious. On the following episode, Cabana defeated Storm to regain the National title.
Storm and Aldis continued to be involved with one another for the next couple of weeks. On episode seven of Powerrr, Storm cut a promo raging at the Worlds champion for supposedly not defending his title. Aldis' insurance policy Kamille then emerged at ringside, only to whisper something in Storm's ear and retreat backstage.
With the feud brewing, Joe Galli announced on this week's episode that the main event for NWA: Into The Fire would be Nick Aldis vs. James Storm in a Two Out Of Three Falls match for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
NWA: Into The Fire will take place at GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on December 14th. The show is available on pay-per-view from FITE.TV.
