On this week's episode of WWE Backstage, CM Punk set out his vision for how the Rusev and Bobby Lashley rivalry should progress. Punk explained that Rusev and Lashley should have a blow off match and then be separated from each other for a while. In the run up to WrestleMania, Lashley would become sick of Lana and they divorce, leading to the All Mighty forming a tag team with Rusev. This would build to WrestleMania where Rusev and Lashley team together against another tag team, and the losers are forced to 'keep' Lana.

Punk said:

"They have a match, they have a blow off. I don't think Rusev wants to be involved with Lana anymore onscreen, so Lana and Bobby go off and do their thing, but eventually [...] Lana grinds on the nerves, Bobby's sick of her. So what they do is, he leaves Lana too and they have another divorce. So, okay they're out. She gets another tag team to go after Rusev and Bobby who have become best friends because they have something familiar, the ex wife [...] They become drinking buddies, this new tag team with Lana in tow go after them, and what they do at WrestleMania, they put Lana in a shark cage because by WrestleMania the new tag team is already so sick of Lana that the loser of the match gets what's in the shark cage."

CM Punk followed up on his proposed angle,

tweeting

: "Loser keeps @LanaWWE match. Just booked you through mania, chica. You’re welcome. @RusevBUL #WWEBackstage."

Lana did not take too kindly to Punk's tweet however,

replying

: "I know you’ve been away from @WWE for several years. Perhaps moving forward, you will favor #WWE and @FS1 by refraining from misogynistic comments like “chica.” Thank you. #WWEBackstage."

However, we don't currently know whether the tweet was Lana playing up her heel character, or whether CJ Perry is genuinely upset by the Punk's comments.
