A bizarre situation developed over the weekend as Lacey Evans found her new look on WWE TV being criticised by Sgt. Slaughter's daughter.

Evans appeared on the June 2 edition of SmackDown in a military vest and wearing a big Sgt. Slaughter-esque hat with a cobra on it as she looked to punch her ticket to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Evans ultimately came up short, losing to Zelina Vega.

While, there was no criticism of Evans' new look from fans, Sgt. Slaughter's daughter took issue with the attire on Sunday night, tweeting: "No. This is NOT okay @WWE. Who the f**k does @LaceyEvansWWE think she is?!? There's only 1 @_SgtSlaughter, there's only 1 Slaughter Daughter, and she's just a poser."

This prompted a response from Evans, who replied: "Your daddy's biggest fan. A United States Marine. And a bad Mfer. You know who I am. And where to find me."

Sgt. Slaughter then got involved, saying that Evans annoyed his daughter, which he knows because he trained her. Slaughter then stated you can only leave Camp Slaughter on your feet or in a "ditty bag."

Evans then responded to the WWE Hall of Famer, writing: "Between your hips and her ability, the chances of anyone in your bloodline to put me in a bag is 0. When you birth someone who can carry your legacy or take me out, call me. Until then, salute me. Like the real Marine I am. Rah."

Slaughter's daughter then wrote: "You've got my respect for serving our country. I'm talking about the gimmick. Cobra clutch & now the hat. You look ridiculous. #stolengimmick."

Evans decided to leave the argument, instead taking time to break in a horse.

Evans served in the United States Marine Corps for five years before transitioning to professional wrestling. Sgt. Slaughter never served in the United States Military.
