Blake Christian Wins The GCW World Title

Blake Christian is the new GCW World Champion after ending Masha Slamovich’s history making reign with the strap.

‘All Heart’ cashed in his Brass Ring title opportunity at GCW Cage of Survival 2 on June 4, stamping Slamovich’s head into the exposed ring planks after Slamovich had successfully defended the belt against Rina Yamashita in a cage in the main event of the show. This win starts Christian’s first run as GCW World Champion.

Christian earned a title opportunity at the time of his choosing after winning the Grab the Brass Ring DLC Ladder Match at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7 on March 31. The former NXT star has been a fixture of GCW  since his WWE exit in 2021, whilst also wrestling for ROH and AEW.

For Slamovich, her reign ends at 79 days and eight successful title defences, with Slamovich in the history books as the first-ever female to hold the belt after defeating Nick Gage at GCW Eye For An Eye on March 17, 2023.
