'80s legend Hillbilly Jim has been announced as the next inductee into WWE's Hall of Fame class of 2018.

The Louisville, Kentucky native enjoyed a stint with the company between 1984 and 1990, and although he never won gold during his time there, established a reputation as a popular and enthusiastic babyface.

He began wrestling in the mid-'70s, primarily for the Memphis-based Continental Wrestling Association. There he wrestled under the name 'Harley Davidson', part of a biker gimmick.

Jim - real name James Morris - made his first 'Mania appearance at WrestleMania 2, as an entrant in the Open Invitational Battle Royal. He also memorably returned at WrestleMania X-Seven to compete in the legends' battle royal, which he almost won before being last eliminated by The Iron Sheikh.

After stepping away from in-ring action in 1990, Hillbilly Jim returned in late '95 to become manager of the Godwinns. However, this was a short-lived stint as the tag team soon turned heel, rendering Jim's services irrelevant.

He has maintained a good relationship with WWE over the years, sometimes working as a road agent, and even as an ambassador for the promotion in association with Coliseum Video.

He also appeared in the reality television series Legends' House, which aired on the WWE Network in 2014.

Jim is the latest inductee to be announced as part of a stacked Hall of Fame class, including Goldberg, the Dudley Boyz, Jeff Jarrett, and Ivory. The recipient of the Warrior Award has also been revealed: New Orleans local, WWE fan, and double liver transplant survivor Jarrius 'JJ' Robertson.
