All Elite Wrestling’s partnership/TV rivalry with CMLL is set to enter CMLL turf on March 29, with the Blackpool Combat Club set to face off against Volador Jr., Mistico, Blue Panther, & Ultimo Guerrero at CMLL’s Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event.

Originally the full BCC team of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta were set to compete in the match, but Yuta has not been cleared to compete and will instead be replaced by Matt Sydal.

Yuta has been out of action with an undisclosed injury since January, and whilst it seems AEW medical staff were confident of the ROH Pure Champion being ready to compete in time for the show it looks like there’s still some time until Yuta returns.

CMLL announced the switch on social media, publishing a letter they received from AEW informing them of Yuta’s status:

“Dear CMLL,

“This letter is to inform you that WHEELER YUTA is not medically cleared for travel or any in ring activities at this time and will not be able to participate in your upcoming event. I have obtained authorisation from Wheeler Yuta to share this information to CMLL and all involved. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you have any questions that I may be able to answer, please do not hesitate to contact me.

“Sincerely, ALL ELITE WRESTLING, LLC.”

BCC’s announcement for the event helped boost ticket sales, according to reports.
