CaZXL (fka Big Cass in WWE) made his return to the ring this past weekend, wrestling his first match since September 2019.
Appearing for Lariato Pro Wrestling, Caz made a surprise return, joining Hernandez to save long time tag partner nZo (fka Enzo Amore) from a beatdown, with Caz looking to be in great shape.
Taking to Twitter afterwards, CaZXL said the following:
“After a long journey filled with an enormous amount of self-reflection, I now start my journey towards redemption. Thank you @The_BigLG for the opportunity, and thank you to everyone for continuing to believe in me #StraightOuttaStep12″
Caz has also released a new tee, with proceeds benefitting the Herren Project - a nonprofit organisation that provides free resources and support for the treatment, recovery, and prevention of substance use disorder. It was founded in 2011 by former professional basketball player, Chris Herren.
Caz has struggled publicly since leaving WWE in 2018, most notably being removed from an event by police after altercations with Joey Janela and Pat Buck in 2019. Caz has also talked openly about his battles with depression and anxiety.
