WWE's Kevin Owens Fuels AEW Speculation With 'Mount Rushmore' Tweet
Owens dropping hints on social media
Sep 8, 2021
WWE superstar Kevin Owens has hinted at a major change in his future after tweeting, then deleting, the coordinates to Mount Rushmore.
Owens took to social media on Tuesday and tweeted out '43.8791 - 103.4591', numbers that are the coordinates to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Not long after, Owens changed the location in his Twitter bio to 'almost there', another reference to Mount Rushmore.
The tweet has since been deleted but the bio location remains the same.
'Mount Rushmore' is the name of a faction Owens was in alongside Adam Cole and AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks between 2013-2014, primarily operating in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Owens ended up leaving the stable when he signed with WWE in 2014, with his exit from the group coming after a triple superkick from Cole and The Bucks.
With Owens making reference to the stable, many fans believe that the deleted tweet is a signal that Owens is interested in a move to All Elite Wrestling - and linking back up with his old stablemates - when his WWE contract expires.
A recent report from Fightful Select indicates that Owens' deal with WWE is due to run out in January 2022.
