Cain Velasquez wasn't the only prolific fighter that debuted on WWE SmackDown on FOX Friday night - towering heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury was seen in the front row during the broadcast.

He became part of the event when he and the equally-looming Braun Strowman teased a skirmish, leading to WWE offering Fury "

an open mic

" for this Monday's edition of Raw.

While some speculated that this could lead to Fury vs. Strowman at WrestleMania 36 in a battle of goliaths, it seems as though Fury's wrestling involvement will come much sooner.

Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT

claims, citing two sources, that Fury is expected to appear in Saudi Arabia for October 31's Crown Jewel, as opposed to WrestleMania.

According to McCarthy, Fury's involvement with WWE was collaborated on by ESPN and FOX, designed to draw more attention to Fury's anticipated rematch with WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, which is scheduled for February 2020.

There is no word on the specifics of Fury's Crown Jewel involvement, whether he'll be wrestling Strowman, possibly teaming with him, or otherwise.
