The intrigue of seeing Raw, SmackDown, and NXT personnel duking it out with 48 hours to go before Survivor Series led to an increase in SmackDown's audience this past Friday night.
According to Showbuzz Daily
, SmackDown averaged 2,601,000 viewers across its two-hour broadcast from Chicago. This included 2,701,000 viewers in the first hour, and 2,500,000 for the second.
The average is up ten percent from last week's average of 2,350,000 viewers, but is still slightly down from the 2,618,000 viewers from the previous week.
All three of SmackDown's primary demographic ratings were up from the week before, including a 0.80 in 18-49 (up from 0.70), a 0.50 in 18-34 (up from 0.40), and a 1.0 in 25-54 (up from 0.85).
SmackDown's average viewership on FOX across seven episodes has been 2,763,000 viewers, with an average 18-49 demo rating of 0.90.
Against other network competition on Friday night, SmackDown averaged the second lowest audience on the primary four networks, beating only ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat.
However, SmackDown tied for the highest 18-49 demo rating against those same shows, with CBS' Hawaii Five-O also scoring a 0.80.
