Following the news that WWE Raw will temporarily become a two-hour show once more for its final few months on USA Network, and it seems SmackDown will be remaining a two-hour spectacular when it rejoins the red brand on USA.

SmackDown is moving back to USA from Fox starting September 13, and a report from Fightful Select says the blue brand will retain its two-hour runtime on the network.

Raw’s return to a two-hour format for the remainder of 2024 is believed to be a temporary move, with reports claiming that the move to Netflix could allow the show to have a more fluid runtime, meaning it could run anywhere from two to three hours if necessary.

The temporary return to a two-hour Raw has been met with widespread positivity from fans online, with the show’s permanent rebranding as a three-hour live event in July 2012 a divisive change amongst fans and talent alike.

SmackDown’s USA Network re-debut on September 13 will feature Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes putting the belt on the line against Solo Sikoa inside a steel cage.
