WWE signs more college athletes to their Next in Line program
Dec 7, 2023
WWE have announced the signing of 14 college athletes as part of their fourth 'Next in Line' class.
The fourth class is headlined by two of the top collegiate wrestlers in the United States, including Lucas Davison and former Big 12 Champion Stephen Buchanan. Other athletes signed include acrobatics athlete Bayley Humphrey, baseball player Adam Beghorst, and male cheerleader Slane Glover.
WWE's 'Next in Line' program has been in place since December 2021 and 60 college athletes have been signed over the past two years. Seven of these athletes have went on to sign full-time developmental deals with WWE. The programme is designed to "recruit and develop potential future Superstars".
While not signed to full-time deals, athletes receive access to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, as well as resources that include brand building, media training, live event promotion, creative writing, and community relations. Upon completion of the program, athletes might be offered a WWE deal.
