Sheamus has undergone surgery to repair his broken nose, the WWE Superstar revealed today.

Writing on Twitter ahead of surgery, Sheamus tweeted: "..once more unto the breach dear friends.. 2x wwe [nose] job champion."

Sheamus suffered a broken nose for the second time in 2021 during the September 20 episode of Monday Night Raw. The Celtic Warrior went one on one with Jeff Hardy on the show and he would lose his protective mask during the match. Sheamus would then have a confrontation with Damian Priest after the contest.

Sheamus continued to wrestle following the injury and he faced Priest and Hardy at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in a Triple Threat match. He failed to capture the title, though, and then failed again on the September 27 episode of Raw.

There is no word on how long Sheamus will be out of action.

The former WWE Champion initially sustained a broken nose on May 31 during a match with Humberto Carrillo after the luchador decked Sheamus with a hard forearm shot. The 43-year-old would continue to appear on Raw after the injury but he wouldn't wrestle again until a July 24 house show.
