It looks like The Undertaker has signed a new contract with WWE that will prevent him from taking bookings outside of the company.
Recently, our good pals over at Inside The Ropes and Starrcast announced appearances by The Deadman. ITR have been forced to cancel the Q & A part of their "Rise Of The Taker" shows, although The Phenom will still be taking part in the meet and greet portion of the events in Manchester, London and Glasgow.
Dave Meltzer recently commented on 'Taker's situation, saying: “(he's) gonna fulfil his commitments, but I don’t think he’s gonna do new ones because that’s the new deal he signed with WWE. WWE doesn’t want him doing it anymore.”
Jim Ross recently claimed on his podcast that Undertaker's call to take appearance bookings outside of WWE hasn't been "a popular front office decision," so it would appear WWE are literally paying their seven-time world champion not to appear anywhere else.
Inside The Ropes have managed to get WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley to appear for a Q & A in place of The Undertaker, details of which can be found
here.
Mick recently commented on the 'Taker Q & A cancellation: "It certainly wasn’t Undertaker’s fault either; in fact, he flew to Connecticut to convince WWE to let him do the tour in some way, shape or form."
