For the first time in the eight-week battle, WWE's NXT on the USA Network defeats AEW Dynamite in total viewership, though the latter program remains the incumbent winner in a number of key demos.

Showbuzz Daily

reports that WWE NXT averaged 916,000 viewers on Wednesday night, a 22 percent increase from 750,000 the previous week. Understandably, the build to the three-way brand conflict at Survivor Series, and the "open door" for an invasion last night, played a large role in the increase.

AEW Dynamite averaged 893,000 viewers, down seven percent from 957,000 a week ago.

Overall, both shows combined for 1,809,000 viewers, the most total viewers for the two programs since October 9.

In key demos, AEW Dynamite ranked eighth for the night in people 18-49, with a 0.39 demo rating. NXT ranked 14th with a 0.30 demo rating.

Dynamite defeated NXT in every other demo category, except for persons over 50, which NXT wins on a regular basis anyhow.

Both shows faced heavy competition in the form of the Democratic debate on MSNBC, which averaged 6.6 million viewers.
