WALTER vs. Ilja Dragunov II is set

The date of WALTER's next NXT United Kingdom Championship defence has been revealed.
Ilja Dragunov was crowned number one contender to WALTER's title following a Triple Threat victory against Joe Coffey and Rampage Brown in June. No date for the match was set at the time, but Sid Scala announced on July 8 that WALTER vs. Dragunov II will take place on the July 22 edition of NXT UK. The build to the match will continue on July 15 when both men take part in a press conference.
WALTER and Dragunov previously went one on one for the gold in October 2020, in a match that was considered one of the best of the year. The Ring General came away with the win on that occasion and he has now held the NXT United Kingdom Championship for 825 days.
The Dragunov match will be WALTER's fourth title defence in 2021 and his first in three months. The Imperium leader has successfully retained the gold against A-Kid, Tommaso Ciampa and Rampage Brown already this year.
