WWE carried out cuts to NXT on Friday, May 3 and a number of talents were released by the company.

One of the names let go was Valentina Feroz and further details have been revealed about why she was released by WWE. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company released Feroz partly because she "didn't take advantage of things offered like help in getting better in English." The view within NXT too was that she "never advanced" and the decision was made to release the 28-year-old.

After competing in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu at a high level, Valentina Feroz signed with WWE in May 2019 following a tryout in Chile. She made her in-ring debut at house shows that December before making her televised singles debut in December 2020. Feroz was then featured on and off as a singles talent and in a tag team with Yulisa Leon.

Feroz had not been booked on WWE TV beyond NXT Level Up matches since Leon was granted her release in September 2023.

Beyond Valentina Feroz, the likes of Gable Steveson, Trey Bearhill, Ezekiel Balogun, Julian Baldi, Emma Diaz, Keyshawn Leflore, Darrell Mason, Vlad Pavlenko, and Kiyah Saint were released by WWE. Boa, Drew Gulak, and Scrypts will also not have their contracts renewed.
