Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds.
WWE NXT 2.0 celebrated its one-year anniversary on the September 13 episode but the '2.0' element won't be around for a two-year celebration. At the conclusion of Tuesday's show, a video package narrated by Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels aired, during which The Heartbreak Kid noted NXT will always be around to develop the next generation of WWE wrestlers. Then, as the video came to an end, the NXT 2.0 logo disappeared, revealing a new white and gold logo as the elements of 2.0 and black and gold were combined.
The changes to NXT come after Vince McMahon retired in July and Triple H took over creative in the company as Chief Content Officer. The Game was integral to the black and gold era of NXT, running the brand until he suffered from life-threatening heart issues in September of 2021. Shawn Michaels has since been in charge of the day-to-day running of WWE NXT.
