WWE NXT Championship Rematch Set For May 25

Finn Bálor will get his rematch for the NXT Championship as he takes on champion Karrion Kross on the May 25 episode of NXT.

Kross defeated Bálor for the title that he never lost at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver last month, with the Irishman making his return to the black and gold brand last week and striking the reigning champion.

Kross was in action on Tuesday's NXT, defeating Austin Theory in the show's opening match. As Kross and Scarlett stared down the ramp at his departing opponent, Bálor would appear behind him in the same manner that Kross previously indicated his desire to face him for the title.

Bálor told Kross he doesn't wait in lines and wants him rematch, with the champion gladly accepting. The match was made for in two weeks' time.

The May 25 NXT will also see the in-ring debut of Frankie Monet. The former Taya Valkyrie made her debut on NXT four weeks ago but has only been involved in promos and backstage segments so far.
