WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels "Huge Proponent" Of NXT UK Superstar

Shawn Michaels has played a huge role behind the scenes in NXT UK.

The WWE Hall of Famer is said to be a huge fan of one UK Superstar in particular - new NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Jordan Devlin.

Devlin defeated Angel Garza (c), Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, and Travis Banks at the Worlds Collide event during WWE Royal Rumble weekend - taking the freshly redesigned Cruiserweight title in the process.

You would have to believe Michaels played a huge role in ensuring that victory for Devlin came to be a reality. Per a report in the latest

, Dave Meltzer reported that HBK is a "huge proponent of Devlin."

As for the future of the Cruiserweight Championship, Meltzer writes: "The idea is for him (Devlin) to defend the title across all the brands."

Devlin has been on a bit of a tear in NXT UK over recent times, defeating the likes of Ligero, A-Kid and Dave Mastiff. However, he did come up short against Tyler Bate at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II.
