WWE and TNA Wrestling have reached an "unprecedented" agreement for Joe Hendry, the man himself revealed on The Wrestling Matt, noting that he is able to train at the WWE Performance Center while continuing to do indy shows and signings.

"We are in a situation where TNA Wrestling has worked it out with WWE where I can appear on TNA Wrestling as a contracted talent, I can appear on NXT, and I can train at the Performance Center full-time and do indies and do signings. This is unprecedented. It's never been done before in the business. So, thank you to TNA and WWE for figuring it out," Hendry said.

The former TNA Digital Media Champion revealed the arrangement of him training at the WWE Performance Center came together following a conversation with Shawn Michaels at the July 30 taping of NXT.

"I had a long conversation with Shawn Michaels last night. The mentorship from Shawn Michaels has been unbelievable. This is why this collaboration between TNA Wrestling and NXT is so good because everybody wins. For me personally from a training perspective, Shawn's giving me a huge opportunity and Shawn said, 'Hey, this door is open, if you want to train at the Performance Center, we're going to open that door.' I was like, 'Let’s do it,'" Hendry added.

"Right now, I'm training at the Performance Center and I'm here in Orlando and I'm getting this amazing opportunity to learn from, let's be honest, the greatest in-ring performer of all time. And the fact that Shawn sees something in me that he wants to help me build and grow, it just makes me want to do an even better job for TNA Wrestling and WWE, it makes me want to do great business for both companies."

Joe Hendry has been making appearances on WWE NXT since June 18 and he has quickly established himself as one of the most popular talents on the Tuesday night show. He is not able to sign with WWE, though, as he has "a while" left on his TNA deal.
