Earlier Monday, WWE promoted an announcement from Stephanie McMahon for Raw, concerning the main event Women's title match between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35.

At the start of the show, McMahon confirmed what many anticipated the announcement to be, that both Rousey's Raw Women's title *and* Flair's SmackDown Women's title would be at stake in the main event, in a "winner takes all" capacity.

This stipulation could indicate that WWE may be looking to unify the belts, having just one flexible champion criss-crossing the brands, similar to the Women's Tag Team titles. In the initial 2002 brand split, the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight title was also free to be fought over on either brand, so the concept is hardly new.

This will mark the second time that a WrestleMania main event has two defending champions in it. The first was WrestleMania 6 in 1990, when WWE Champion Hulk Hogan faced Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior in another winner-take-all scenario, won by Warrior. In that instance, upon his World title victory, Warrior vacated the IC belt shortly after the event.
