After months of hostility back and forth on Twitter, we finally got Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega together in a ring as The Elite defeated The United Empire on AEW Dynamite on August 31.

The win means The Elite secure a spot in the AEW Trios Title Tournament Final, but as for Ospreay, he revealed on Twitter that he is done with AEW, for now:

“For the foreseeable future my time with @AEW is done thanks to @TonyKhan for having your own mind and not listening to @KennyOmegamanX attempts at blocking me from coming to do a few matches for ya. We are even for now Ken, keep your mouth shut & we won’t have any issues.”

The issues between Ospreay and Omega are far from over, as The United Empire delivered an hellacious beatdown on The Elite after Dynamite went off the air, with fans speculating that the two might be set for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom in January, if not a singles bout at an AEW event.
