Pro Wrestling Guerrilla held their Threemendous VI event on Sunday, September 26 at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The in-ring action was praised by those in attendance and fans were treated to matches like Bandido vs. Davey Richards for the PWG World Title, Dragon Lee vs. Aramis and The Kings Of The Black Throne vs. Demonic Flamita & Black Taurus.

Alex Shelley also went one on one with Jonathan Gresham in a number one contender's match for the PWG World Title. To the surprise of those inside the Globe Theatre, Gresham tapped out after 16 minutes and Shelley became the number one contender as a result.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ring Of Honor, who have Bandido and Jonathan Gresham under contract, asked PWG not to book Bandido vs. Gresham before them. ROH reportedly have plans for the two men to feud in the future and as a result, Shelley had to win the match.

When Shelley will get his title shot remains to be seen, but Meltzer noted PWG are tentatively planning to hold their next event on November 21, the same day as Survivor Series.
