WWE are reportedly considering implementing changes in the content portrayed in NXT 2.0, at the behest of Vince McMahon, with the aim of creating an edgier product that can draw in a younger audience.

Fightful Select is reporting that the WWE Chairman has directly encouraged a shift for WWE's third brand, which debuted a change in format and production last week, which will see NXT 2.0 deliberately targeting the 18-34 demographic.

Potential changes raised within the report include altered in-ring styles towards more aggression, and harsher language utilised in promos. Another point - which the report stresses has not been verified - was more leniency for female character attire.

While these changes appear to only be at an initial discussion stage, Fightful's report does indicate that the USA Network - WWE's television partner for NXT - is aware of the potential altercations and are in support of them.

Vince McMahon has notably taken a greater role with the running of NXT since the debut of NXT 2.0 last week.
