Updated NJPW G1 Climax 31 Standings After Opening 2 Nights

G1 Climax 31 kicked off over the weekend as New Japan Pro-Wrestling held the opening matches of the A Block and B Block from Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka, Japan.

In a shock result, Yujiro Takahashi defeated former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi on the opening night of the A Block. Toru Yano also got his customary surprise G1 victory, this time over KENTA.
