Jerry Lawler is feeling "pretty good" outside of some difficulty with his vision following his recent stroke, the man himself has revealed.

Lawler suffered a stroke on September 5. He was discharged from hospital on Thursday, September 11 and headed back home to Memphis, Tennessee. Lawler pulled out of convention appearances after being hospitalised and the 75-year-old will be taking the rest of September off while he recovers.

Lawler revealed to Fox 13 that initially after the stroke he failed to recognise family members.

"I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in - and I didn't even recognise them. People kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that," Lawler said.

Lawler noted he wasn't taking his medication in the days before suffering the stroke and he plans to be more diligent going forward.

Lawler previously suffered strokes in 2018 and 2023. He was able to return to normal, but his speech and ability to write were initially affected after the 2023 stroke.
