It was reported last week that Jay White was on the verge of being cleared for an in-ring return in AEW, with it being stated that he was “healthy” and expected to be back “soon”. Fightful Select have provided a further report on White’s status, which indicates that he might not be back as imminently as first thought.

It was learned that White was present at AEW’s TV tapings last week where he was checked for a return, but it was said that he “didn’t appear ready” for a comeback, despite a hope from many backstage that he was set to return soon. When it comes to plans for Sunday’s AEW All In: London 2024 PPV in Wembley Stadium, there were reported discussions that he could appear in the Casino Gauntlet match at the show, but these plans are not concrete due to him not being cleared.

White hasn’t competed since his loss in the Owen Hart Tournament semi final in a loss to “Hangman” Adam Page, leading to the Bang Bang Gang being forced into vacating the AEW World Trios Championships.
