Triple H, Ronda Rousey

Triple H and Ronda Rousey were recently spotted at a Los Angeles restaurant, according to

TMZ

. This has prompted further speculation of Rousey pursuing a career with WWE in the near future.

With the first ever women's Royal Rumble match approaching, and Rousey already a rumoured surprise entrant, this news should only increase hype over an appearance on January 28th.

This is the latest in a series of instances that have many convinced that Rousey has her heart set on a career as a WWE Superstar.

The former UFC champion and women's MMA pioneer is a known wrestling fan, and made a cameo appearance at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 - being invited into the ring by The Rock, and fending off Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

More recently, she appeared in the crowd at the tapings of 2017's Mae Young Classic in support of Shayna Baszler. The pair are members of the 'Four Horsewomen of MMA' collective, who were rumoured to be in line for a future feud with WWE's own 'Four Horsewomen': Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair.

Rousey also recently released a video preview for her own website, which included brief footage of her training with SmackDown Superstar Natalya.

As well as being a rumoured entrant in the women's Rumble, she could also potentially win the match, securing a title shot at WrestleMania. Skybet currently have her as joint favourite at 7/4, alongside Asuka.

Other confirmed entrants in the match are as follows:

Paige

Sasha Banks

Bayley

Mandy Rose

Sonya Deville

Nia Jax

Mickie James

Becky Lynch

Naomi

Ruby Riott

Sarah Logan

Liv Morgan

Natalya

Lana

Carmella

Tamina

Despite initial speculation that it wouldn't be as big as the men's Rumble match, the women's version has been confirmed as a 30-entrant bout - which currently leaves plenty of space for surprise entrants and returns.
