Torrie Wilson Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame
Class of 2019 gets a new name...
Mar 4, 2019
Torrie Wilson is officially the latest inductee into the WWE Hall Of Fame.
Wilson will join D-Generation X members Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and Chyna, plus the Honky Tonk Man in this year's hall.
"This feels like a sweet closure," Wilson told
espnW. "Since I retired, so many people have asked me, 'Do you feel bad you've never won a title?' And I have always said no, because I felt like I got the value -- even though it would have been nice [to win a title]. But being inducted into the Hall of Fame feels like a championship belt to me, because it really makes me feel appreciated."
Wilson gained notoriety when she won the Miss Galaxy pageant in 1998 before signing with WCW. She then joined WWE as part of the Invasion angle and went on to represent the company until May of 2008.
More recently, Wilson appeared in the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble match and at the Evolution pay-per-view last Autumn.
The 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Saturday, April 6 (the night before WrestleMania 35) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y, and tickets for the ceremony are available now.
