TNT Title Match Set For AEW Rampage Holiday Bash

A huge TNT Championship Match has been set for the AEW Rampage Holiday Bash Special.

Sammy Guevara will be defending his TNT Title against Cody Rhodes on AEW Rampage show, which is set to air on Christmas night on TNT.

The match was made on the Wednesday 8 episode of AEW Dynamite when Guevara came out on stage to cut a promo but was almost immediately interrupted by Rhodes. The American Nightmare told the Spanish God that Tony Khan had made their Title match official for AEW Rampage Holiday Bash and wished him luck.

Rhodes is a two-time former TNT Champion, and was the first to hold the title after winning a tournament final to crown the inaugural champion at the 2020 Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

Guevara has held the TNT title since defeating Miro on the September 29 Dynamite.

Rather than taking the usual Friday slot, AEW Rampage will air on Saturday 25 December that week, with the promotion announcing that the Wednesday 22 December will also be the annual Holiday Bash episode of AEW Dynamite.
