AEW’s upcoming Homecoming show on August 4 will be one of the last times for a while that AEW will host a show at Daily’s Place. Fans expected it to be a stacked show, and it looks like AEW have already began loading it up, with TNT Champion Miro set to defend the strap on the show.

As seen on this week’s edition of AEW Dark: Elevation, Big Shotty Lee Johnson defeated Chaos Project’s Luther to earn a shot at the title, in a match made by AEW Elite GM Invitational Tournament winner Pulse.

After Johnson’s win, God’s favourite Champion himself gave Big Shotty a dire warning, saying “Your last opponent was picked by the fans. Your next opponent is picked by God.”

Miro’s last TNT Championship defence was on the June 30 edition of Dynamite, defeating Brian Pillman Jr.

The only other match announced for Homecoming so far is the huge Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black match, slated to be Black’s AEW in-ring debut.
