A snooze on Triple H's plane seemingly worked wonders...

At NXT TakeOver: Portland, all of the black and gold brand's titles were on the line. In the opening match, Keith Lee defended his North American Championship against Dominik Dijakovic, Rhea Ripley defended her NXT title against Bianca Belair, The BroserWeights took on The Undisputed ERA, and Adam Cole faced off against Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship.
After sneaking onto Triple H's private jet, Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle were ready to use their momentum to overcome the most successful tag team in NXT history in The Undisputed ERA.
After a back and forth contest, the beginning of the finish came when Dunne had been isolated by The UE, who hoisted him up and connected with Chasing The Dragon. Bobby Fish then covered The Bruiserweight, but Dunne kicked out at two and three quarters.
Having been briefly put out of commission, Riddle climbed onto the apron, and as Fish and Kyle O'Reilly tried to put Dunne away, The King Of Bros tagged himself into the match. Fish failed to realise, however, which provided the opening Riddle needed to deliver a Ripcord Knee. With the greying Champion lay prone, Riddle and Dunne used their teamwork to put O'Reilly out of commission with some tandem offence.
The former UFC fighter then hoisted Fish up for a Fireman's Carry and proceeded to drop him into a Dropkick from Dunne. Brock Lesnar's favourite person then covered the Canadian Superstar for the 1-2-3.
With that, having been thrown together ahead of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne demonstrated their in-ring chemistry and overcame the odds to win the NXT Tag Team Championships.
