A former WWE Superstar made their Pro Wrestling NOAH debut today.

The Japanese promotion held their Star Navigation event at Korakuen Hall on Tuesday and the show was headlined by a 10-man tag team match pitting Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, Michael Elgin, Masa Kitamiya, and Yoshiki Inamura against Hideki Suzuki, Takashi Sugiura, Rene Dupree, Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Jr., and a mystery participant.

That mystery participant was revealed to be Timothy Thatcher, who later said he was invited to NOAH by Hideki Suzuki, who used to work in WWE as a Performance Center Coach and on-screen talent in Diamond Mine. Thatcher's debut in the promotion also proved to be successful as he picked up the win for his team with a Fujiwara Armbar.

Thatcher previously performed for WWE from 2020 until August 2021, when he transitioned into a coaching role. He was then released by the company on January 5, 2022, along with other NXT personnel. Thatcher has only wrestled four times on the independent wrestling scene since his release.

Prior to signing with WWE, it was reportedly a long-held ambition of Thatcher's to compete in Japan.
