Many believe Thunder Rosa has had an underwhelming run as AEW Women's World Champion. La Mera Mera has put on entertaining matches but she has often found herself relegated to short interview segments on TV or even appearances on Dark: Elevation, vastly different from former champion Britt Baker who found herself in a featured spot on Dynamite almost every week.

Speaking about her title run so far with Bullet Cast, Rosa admitted her time with the belt has been challenging.

"It's been really challenging. Being a champion on a major platform is different than when I was NWA Women's World Champion. There is a lot more at stake and a lot more you're representing and a little bit of pressure. Every time you stand in front of the camera, you want to make sure you're perfect. The thing is, it's not all about perfection, it's about making a difference, and I hope I've been making a difference in the women's division," Rosa said.

Rosa has been champion since March 16 when she defeated Britt Baker in a Steel Cage Match. The champion has successfully defended the gold against the likes of Nyla Rose, Toni Storm, Marina Shafir, Serena Deeb, Miyu Yamashita, and Jamie Hayter.
