During his famous Art of Wrestling podcast appearance in 2014, CM Punk noted he had a slight issue with being booked to lose to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29, primarily because he had just lost to The Rock twice and he was set to lose to another part-time talent in The Phenom at the Show of Shows. A few months later, Punk would lose to another part-timer in Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Some had speculated over the past 10 years that CM Punk and The Undertaker had issues stemming from their WrestleMania 29 match but 'Taker has denied that is the case to the Daily Mail's Alex McCarthy.

"I had no beef with Punk, he was always business with me, hopefully I was with him. I've been told that I have some beef against him, social media...they tell me because I don't read comments or follow it, but I have a lot of people that tell me. Supposedly I squashed his push and all of this but anybody who knows me - even if I didn't like somebody, and I don't dislike punk, that's another rumour that I have disdain for him, I don't, he was good with me and that's all that matters - business is business, whatever's best for business.

"That's one thing I did learn from Vince, whatever is best for business is what you do, so I can't worry about what people who have no clue about our business think. Everybody thinks they're an expert but they really have no clue. It's ridiculous online. Business has always been business and he was always business with me," The Undertaker said.

While WrestleMania 29 is regarded as one of the weaker editions of the Showcase of the Immortals, CM Punk vs. The Undertaker was arguably the match of the night and was selected as one of the matches of 2013.

Speaking about the match further, The Undertaker stated: "He was great to work with. I'm very proud of that match and we sat down and thought about ideas and everything."
