The latest names have been revealed for the WWE Hall of Fame; The Steiner Brothers, Rick and Scott Steiner.

The news was confirmed by The Ringer, with The Steiners set to join a class that includes The Undertaker, Queen Sharmell, and Big Van Vader, with ‘Sycho’ Sid Vicious also rumoured to be inducted this year.

One of the most influential tag teams of the 1990s, The Steiners held gold in WCW/NWA, WWE, and NJPW amongst others, whilst also teaming together in the likes of ECW, and later in TNA.

Hard-hitting, collegiate wrestling style stars, The Steiners were one of the biggest draws in early 90s WCW, building off the success of Rick Steiner’s solo run in late 80s NWA.

Known for the brightly coloured singlets, and love of suplexes and stiff clotheslines, the pair were draws everywhere they wrestled, teaming together solidly until 1998 when Scott turned his back on Rick to join the NWO.

The news of The Steiners’ induction will be a surprise to many, as Scott Steiner has had a rocky relationship with WWE in recent years. But with Rick’s son Bron Breakker enjoying success in NXT, perhaps this has helped smooth things over between ‘Big Poppa Pump’ and WWE.

As of yet there is no indication on who will induct the team.
