IMPACT Wrestling brought back a surprising name for the Bound For Glory Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match.

In a match that featured surprise appearances from Rocky Romero and Melina, the most shocking return was saved for later in the gauntlet as The Demon made his return to professional wrestling.

Johnny Swinger was ecstatic upon seeing the Kiss-inspired character and asked for The Demon's autograph after he entered the ring. The Demon kindly signed Swinger's autograph book before he then tossed Johnny over the top rope. The Demon then lasted several minutes in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet before he was baited in by Ace Austin and sent tumbling over the top rope.

Portrayed by Dale Torborg, The Demon was a Kiss-inspired wrestler modelled on Gene Simmons in the later years of World Championship Wrestling. The character was originally set to kickstart a 'Warriors Of Kiss' stable after Eric Bischoff struck a deal with the rock band but the faction ultimately never came into existence.

The Demon would go on to wrestle in WCW from January 2000 until the company folded in 2001. Torborg would then perform as The Demon in the Xcitement Wrestling Federation in late 2001 before appearing as himself in TNA in 2005 and 2007.

Fightful Select has reported that Dale Torborg was the man under the face paint, competing in his first wrestling match in 14 years.
